Professor Rasmus Gjedssø Bertelsen is the Barents chair in politics at the Arctic University of Norway (Tromsø), Nansen visiting professor of Arctic studies at the University of Akureyri, Iceland, and coordinator of the Norway-EU Science Diplomacy Network. He holds a PhD in international relations from the University of Cambridge. Under the mentorship of Joseph S. Nye Jr., Professor Bertelsen conducted his postdoctoral research on the soft power of American and French universities in the Middle East.
