FESTIVE OPENING CEMAS
The Vrije Universiteit Brussel warmly invites you to the festive opening of the Centre for Martial Arts and Science (CEMAS) on 23 September at 10:30 at our Main Campus in Elsene, Pleinlaan 2, 1050 Brussels.
CEMAS is more than a state-of-the-art martial arts facility: it is a pioneering living lab where academic research, martial arts, and societal impact converge. Among other initiatives, we use martial arts to empower Brussels youth—especially those in vulnerable situations—and to foster social cohesion.
During the opening ceremony, you’ll discover how CEMAS, in collaboration with partners such as the Vlaamse overheid, the Vlaamse gemeenschapscommissie and the Vlaamse Boksliga, is making a meaningful difference in the community and contributing to scientific advancement.
