Information Sessions

At various times throughout the day, group information sessions commence. There are information sessions about particular programmes, as well as general information sessions. Each information session lasts approximately one and a half hours, after which you will have the opportunity to ask questions to the professor.

At the VUB Health Campus (Jette), you can attend information sessions for the following programmes: Biomedical Sciences; Pharmaceutical Sciences; Medicine; Management and Policy in Healthcare; Management, Care and Policy in Gerontology; and Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy.

All other programmes will be covered during the information sessions at the VUB Main Campus (Etterbeek).

Services

At the VUB Main Campus (Etterbeek), you can speak with various services. You are welcome to visit anytime between 10 AM and 3 PM.

  • Financial support and student housing: Throughout the open day, you can visit these colleagues to ask all your personal questions.
  • BRIK - Student in Brussels: Brik is the main contact point for students in Brussels. Through Brik, you can find accommodation and learn everything about life in Brussels.
  • International Relations Office - Going Abroad: Here, you can ask all your questions about an international study experience.
  • Learn Dutch, French, English or another language at the VUB site in Ixelles and Jette: Are you studying in Brussels and want to improve your language skills? Are you an international student or are you planning an Erasmus year and want to understand and speak the local language? The Centre for Adult Education Semper teaches 10 different languages. Dutch is free for students living in Brussels.
  • Educational Masters and Master of Primary Education: The Multidisciplinary Institute for Teacher Education is happy to answer your questions regarding these master's programmes.
  • Top level sports & studying: If you have questions about combining a career in top level sports with academic studies, you can visit these collegues throughout the day. Please make an appointment first via topsport.studie@vub.be.

 

At the VUB Health Campus (Jette), several services are also available. You can meet with them between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM in the library of building A.

  • General information, study guidance, financial support and student housing: Throughout the open day, you can visit these colleagues to ask all your personal questions.
  • Enrolment: During the open day, you can enroll for the programmes Biomedical Sciences; Pharmaceutical Sciences; Medicine; and Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy (only for those with a Flemish diploma). No appointment needed.
  • Postgraduate Manual Therapy and Postgraduate Clinical Anatomy: Speak with the programme coordinator and ask all your questions.

Campus Tours

Both the VUB Main Campus (Etterbeek) and the VUB Health Campus (Jette) offer campus tours throughout the day.

At the VUB Main Campus (Etterbeek), English spoken guided campus tours start at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM. Each tour lasts approximately one hour. Of course, you are also welcome to explore the campus on your own! Interested in visiting our library? That’s possible as well!

At the VUB Health Campus (Jette), guided tours begin at the information desk at the entrance of building A. We offer several tours lasting about 30 minutes, scheduled immediately after some of the information sessions.

Student Housing

Will you be staying in a student room (kot) at the VUB next academic year and you already want to take a look at your future place? You can!

At scheduled times, you can visit student rooms at the VUB Main Campus (Etterbeek). A current student will guide you around and provide all the necessary information. You just need to choose whether you want to visit a room on the campus itself, on Nieuwelaan, or on Schoofslaan. Or perhaps all three?

It is also possible to visit a student room at the VUB Health Campus (Jette). In the entrance hall of building A, go to one our student guides, they will arrange a guided visit to one of the student rooms throughout the open day.

Practical Information

Registration: When you click on the 'register' button and fill in your details, you will see an overview of all information sessions and activities. Select the sessions and activities you wish to attend. You can also indicate the number of people accompanying you. You will then receive a confirmation email with a personal QR code. Keep this email safe, as it serves as your entry ticket for the open day. Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time of your session or activity. Your QR code will be scanned at the entrance to grant you access.

Parking on Campus: If you are coming to the campus by car and wish to park there, please register your license plate here.

Lunch on Campus: You won’t go hungry during the open day. Bar Pilar and four food trucks will offer delicious meals. Not too hungry? Stop by for a drink at Bar Pilar or Opinio.
