3rd Health, Law, and Technology Symposium (HELT 2025) cover image

HELT at a glance

The HELT symposium is an annual international event organised by the Health & Ageing Law Lab (HALL), a dynamic research group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). HELT stands for Health, Law, and Technology – three broad subject areas that intersect each other in discourses around improving quality and access to health care, or advancing medical research beyond the state-of-the-art. The overarching goal of this event is to provide a unique platform for insightful and stimulating exchanges on the latest trends and future of health and technology, through the lens of regulatory responses and relevant policy initiatives. The HELT symposium brings together representatives from the academia, industry, research organisations, healthcare professionals and policymakers, which underscores the multidisciplinary nature of the event.
