How to reach the LIC Learning & Innovation Center at the VUB Main Campus in Ixelles/Etterbeek?
The Learning & Innovation Center is located at the heart of VUB campus Generaal Jacqueslaan 271, 1050 Brussels, and is part of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) Main Campus. It is easily accessible by public transport. We recommend using one of the following options:
-
By train: The campus is within walking distance of Etterbeek train station, which offers convenient connections from Brussels-Central, Brussels Airport, and other major Belgian train stations. From Etterbeek station, it is about a 10–15 minute walk to the LIC. For up-to-date timetables, please consult the NMBS website.
-
By metro: Metro line 5 connects Brussels city centre with the eastern part of the city. Get off at Pétillon metro station. From there, you can either walk to the VUB campus (approximately 15 minutes) or continue by tram or bus toward the campus. Route planning is available on the STIB-MIVB website.
-
By tram: Tram lines 7 and 25 stop near the VUB campus. You can get off at the “VUB” or “Etterbeek Station” tram stops. From these stops, follow the campus signage to the LIC Learning & Innovation Center. Plan your tram journey via the STIB-MIVB website.
-
By bus: Several bus lines serve stops around the VUB campus, including lines 34, 36, 61, and 95. The nearest stops provide a short walking connection to the LIC. You can plan your route using the STIB-MIVB website.
-
By car: If you come by car, you have free access to the VUB campus and parking for the duration of the event. However, you must first warn us in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Important: Access to the campus is only valid until 23:59 on the event day. This registration does not allow access on other days or for long-term parking after the event.
