In particular, the lecture will ask whether the open finance model, with its safeguards for both fundamental rights and economic interests, might be a model to be followed to ensure data free flow in other industries. As such, the lecture will tackle whether open inance serves to empower the digital citizen or merely optimizes the data harvesting capabilities of the financial sector.
