FAQ
How can I modify/cancel my registration(s) for a session?

In your confirmation email you will find a link to change or cancel your registration. If you can't find it, try to register again with your VUB-email address to receive a modification link.

I've signed up for a session before and now I want to register for a new session again, but I'm getting an error message. What should I do?

This registration module works based on the e-mail address you used. So if you have already registered with this email address, the system will indicate that you already exist. What to do:

  1. Enter your email address as usual.

  1. A pop-up will now appear informing you that you already exist. Choose the option 'send modification link' here.

  1. In your mailbox you will now receive an e-mail from the system with a link.

  1. If you click on that link, you will be taken to your already created profile and you can register for a new session.

How much does it cost to participate in a session?

Nothing! The entire range of group and individual guidance offered by Study Guidance is free of charge for all VUB students.

Where do the sessions take place?

The sessions are organised on campus Etterbeek and online. During registration, you can choose where and how you want to follow your group session. The specific location is stated in your confirmation email that you will receive after registration; a classroom for an on-campus workshop and a Microsoft Teams link for an online group session.

How many sessions can I participate in?

You can participate in as many group sessions as you want. We do recommend that you only sign up for the group sessions that seem useful for yourself. In addition, we ask you to only register for the group sessions at which you will be present.

Are the sessions interactive?

All our walk-ins and sessions have room for interaction and sharing experiences. Each lecturer provides sufficient Q&A moments.

Are the group sessions confidential?

Our study career counsellors have a duty of discretion. This means that they won't just share information about you with others. You can read more about our code of ethics here. We also ask all fellow students not to record the group session, so that we can create a confidential environment in which participants feel safe to ask questions and share experiences.

I want to get started now! What can I do in the meantime?

Study path counseling has ensured that every student has 24/7 access to online self-help materials. This way you can get started in anticipation of participating in your group session! Take a look at our self-help modules on Canvas or at the website of the study path counsellors full of tips & tricks

I have another question. Where can I go with this?
